Whenever im broke or I need some zeny to buy something, I always go to Kokomo Beach. Ragglers drop Cyfars, Brigans, Winds of Verdures, Awakes, Concs, and most importantly, Slotted Goggles. And they're really easy to kill. Stay there for an hour or two killing them, you'll make about 80k, or even more. If you transfer them to your merch, you can use overcharge and make even more zeny. To get to Kokomo Beach, go east 2 maps from Comodo (including dungeon), then south one map. But beware of Mobster and Seals if your not that high of a level.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, I just decided to post it since there was only 1 money making guide. I hope this helps.

The Key to Upgrade Weapons or Equipments

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will share with you all, I personally have managed to get rich by upgrading weapons and equips. The most important key in upgrading is patient. With some tricks that I have developed in recent years, I have managed to upgrade to +7 with greater probabilities.

Some of the tricks, lets say I have 5 muffler slot, I will upgrade all of them till +4, use any lvl 1 weapon to count when you can upgrade your muffler till +5, and so on.

1st step, break 1pc weapon lvl 1, disconnect, gloria yourself (with the help of priest), after 1 gloria finished, upgrade your first muffler to +5, repeat untill all your muffler slot become +5.

2nd step, break 1pc weapon lvl 1, disconnect, break 1pc more weapon lvl 1, disconnect again, then gloria yourself twice, until the second gloria about half time to finish, upgrade your muffler to +6, repeat the 2nd step until all your muffler slot become +6.

3rd step, break 1pc weapon lvl 1, disconnect, break 1pc more weapon lvl 1, disconnect again, break 1pc more weapon lvl 1, disconnect again, then gloria yourself three times, until the third gloria finished, upgrade your muffler to +7, repeat the 3rd step untill all muffler slot become +7.

Note : Though there are still some risks, but there is no fun in life if you don't take chances, right? Normally, From 5 muffler slot that I have, I will get 2 to 3 muffler slot which are +7. Hope these tips will help you get your first billion. Cheers

Look at the screenshot: base lvl 2, job lvl 7

Want to know how? It's ridiculously easy...

  1. After character creation, move to the right, and ignore the lady NPC you see
  2. Register for Novice Training
  3. Talk to the first NPC you see (a Crusader)

he'll give you 1 base level first, then 1 job level, and finally giving you 1 Novice armor
  4. Go a bit to the left, look for the monk. Speak to him, select the first option, keep on pressing enter until you reach this point:

LOG OUT at this point (press Escape on the keyboard then select "Character Select")
  5. log back in (notice you're already 2/4), ignore the monk, proceed to the right
  6. speak to the blacksmith, select the first option, ignore her instructions, just spam enter until you're done with her
  7. speak to the kafra, select this option:
  8. a menu will eventually appear, select this option:
  9. After receiving the final job up, you'll return to the menu. Just press Cancel, speak to her, then teleport out of the Novice Training Grounds

Viola! You're now a lvl 2/7 Novice! All you have to do now is
  1. join a guild and get 50% tax
  2. level on Pupas and other low base high job EXP monsters
  3. after choosing your first job and passing the test, kill yourself each time you receive a job up (-1% base EXP, -1% job EXP unless EXP is 0%)

To be able to reach your 2nd job in the most unusual base lvl : job lvl way!

pRO Valkyrie Levelling Guide for All Jobs
For the Old School Gamer
by:~Kapitan Ereanne~

Specialized styles or maps will not be included in my guide. Each level bracket will be divided into four sections: AGI, VIT, DEX and INT types. For the AGI and VIT, it is understood that you should have a damage stat, be it STR or DEX.

Also, a disclaimer if you will, these levelling spots are my personal recommendations based only on what I experienced and witnessed first hand. Of course there are many more levelling places which you guys can go to and suggest to other players. Feel free to post them at the comments section.

Valkyrie Overview
Do take note that levelling in Valkyrie Server is quite a bit of a challenge as opposed to levelling in other servers. Like I said in the first part of my Survival Kit(LINK), there are some modifications in Valkyrie. Most notably is the total disabling of the TELEPORT skill. So you can't do the teleport-search-kill levelling style. You have to walk all the way.

Freebies
Also as of this post, you get 5 free Field Manuals and a Bubble Gums at the novice academy only at Valkyrie. So take advantage of that as well.

PK Maps
There are some player kill (PK) enabled maps, I suggest you avoid these maps if you want to level in peace. For the full list of PK maps, check this link.

Death Toll
Death in Valkyrie server means -5%. So you'd want to avoid dying as much as possible especially in higher levels where death takes a bigger toll. There is one way to counter experience loss which I will discuss later on.

Character Overview
AGI Type
AGI types are all about being able to dodge attacks at 95% of the time. The main stat of course is AGI. Decent flee can be achieved by adding around 70-90 TOTAL AGI. You can make adjustments on your own. For melee classes I do recommend you make yourself a QUAD ANCIENT BLADE (Mummy Cards) to increase your killing options even at low levels. You should also possess the standard MOCKING (whisper card) garment.

VIT Type
VIT types are all about being able to tank lots of damage and still live to tell the tail. VIT types pump the VIT stat as it increases MAXIMUM Hit Points (HP) and gives recieved damage reduction as well. For melee classes I do recommend you make yourself a QUAD ANCIENT BLADE (Mummy Cards) to increase your killing options even at low levels. You should also possess the standard IMMUNE (raydric card) garment.

DEX Type
Of course you'll need your weapon. DEX types are mostly archer classes but the thief class can also be a dex type as it can equip bows too. Your secondary stat will be either AGI or VIT. It depends mostly on your playing style.

INT Type
The great thing about the INT type is that you can get to levelling straight away even without complete gears especially if you're well versed enough with your playing skills.

Tip for Preventing EXP loss

There is a Hypermart item called Life Insurance. Use this and you will receive a buff that will prevent EXP loss for a max of 30mins per usage.

Level 1-10
The Novice Academy

Everyone starts as a novice. Talk to all the NPC's as they give you As of this point you all start more or less with equal killing style: using your Novice Academy issued novice knife, you kill the fabres, chonchons and porings as part of the novice test. You can actually get to JOB LEVEL 10 here and you may apply for a job change as soon as you leave the academy.

Level 10-20

SOLO

ALL TYPES
Skeletons (Payon Cave 1)
Skeletons have low HP but gives decent EXP for this level. There are many low levelled jobs here who party. And if you're lucky enough a good samaritan priest might actually offer a Magni party.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Willows
Willows do little damage but gives good EXP to at least give you a few 1st job levels before you transfer to stronger monsters.

Poring Island
The famous Poring Island. Kill Porings and Drops for now while avoiding the Poporings. You can get to JOB level 10 here with ease if you skipped the Novice Academy. Just steer clear of the occasional Angeling or Deviling and you'll be fine.

AGI & VIT
Spores
If Willows are too slow for you, you can switch to killing Spores instead. Luckily, they are located in the same map.
Rockers
Since you won't have enough AGI to actually have decent flee, and enough VIT to tank effectively, AGI and VIT types are most likely still in common ground here.

INT & DEX
Mandragora
Good for low levelled mages since Mandragoras don't move and are weak to fire. Fire bolt is one of the usual starting skills of a mage. Archer classes can use fire arrows too.

Greatest General
This is recommended for the more advanced player. If you have complete gears you can try levelling early on by killing these stationary totems. Don't go to near though as they hurt a lot! If you're an archer type, use boned / formless weapons with crystal arrows as they are weak to WATER. Mages with Cold Bolt can use them here too. You can actually even stay here until level 50+ or so if you want.

Geographer
Same style as the Greatest General. Don't come near these lively flowers and you'll be fine. They are weak to FIRE so use fire arrows as an archer class and fire bolt as a mage class. Again you can stay here until level 50+ if you want. Just don't get caught in clusters of Geographers, remember you can teleport to safety here in Valkyrie.

Glast Heim Underprison
Levelling at Glast Heim Underprison is actually fun if you can stand the kill stealing. So many people level here that kill stealing has become normal and accepted for this map. There are mostly undead monsters here that give tons of EXP. Just stay at a safe distance or within crowds of players and shoot or cast at every monster that moves and breathes. The monster move slow here so you can run easily when in danger. Holy arrows are ideal for archer classes while mage classes uses soul strike or fire bolt most of the time. Acolyte classes love heal bombing here. A lot of people have actually turned level 99 in this map at other servers, so it's not surprising if it happens in Valkyrie too.

WITH FRIENDS

Dustiness
If you have a high levelled priest friend, you can ask him/her to tank some Dustiness for you. They are non-aggressive and are cast detect. The priest can use shift+Increase Agi for them to start attacking him/her. Doing this maximizes the EXP you can get from these moths. They are weak to EARTH. Use stone arrows for archer classes and fire bolt for mage classes. Melee types can imbue their weapon with Earth Elemental Converters now available at the Hyper mart. You can level here until early 30s.

Gators
You need a tough tank here. Either a priest class with full damage reduction buffs (i.e. Assumptio) and full def gears, or a VIT knight with complete armors, shields and provoke skill. Gators are weak to WIND. Wind arrows and clamorous / boned bows will do wonders. Weapons imbued with a Wind Elemental Converter will help a lot. If you're a mage with lightening bolt, you can try it here. You can actually stay for a long time here, until level 75+, if you wish.

Level 20-30

SOLO

ALL TYPES

Orc Dungeon 1
Orc Zombies don't give that much EXP alone. But they come in great mobs. They walk very slowly too. This and the fact that they are very easy to kill makes them a good levelling spot for ALL stat types. They require only a small amount of flee and hit to be dealt with.

Byalan 1
Good for those who feel like grinding away from crowded places. Byalan 1 houses some kukres, hydras, planktons and marinas. Leave the marinas for now and concentrate on planktons and kukres. Hydras can be a pain especially for AGI types who can't dodge them yet. The good thing is that they are easily killed. Use wind elementals here for best damage output. The loots you get here sell for some hefty amounts of zeny too.

AGI & VIT

Culvert 2
Culvert gives ok EXP per monster. But the thing is, tarous and thief bugs come in great numbers. And they drop abundant loots too. All in all, Culvert is a good place to start collecting loots to be sold at the NPC later on. AGI types better steer clear of thief bugs if you can't kill them in one shot cause they will mob you. You can't teleport to safety here in Valkyrie. VIT types have less problem in tanking mobbing thief bugs as at least 20-30 vit will already reduce significant damage from these roaches.

Horns
Another "off-the-beaten-track" levelling place. Horns are more recommended for VIT types as the low level AGI type might not be able to dodge it effectively yet. Good loots too. Use fire elementals when dealing with horns.

VIT

Wolf

Wolves are softies which can hurt low levels. However, VIT types with 30+ VIT will feel comfortable levelling here. Wolves are mobbers, once they see you attack one wolf, other wolves will attack you as well. Also, if you're on a low budget, wolves are a good alternative as they drop HP restoratives quite often. There's a decent amount of loots here too but they sell quite low at the NPCs.

INT & DEX
Metaling
This is another popular levelling map for mid levelled archer and mage types. You can actually get to level 60+ here. Metalings also give good job EXP so if you want to change job fast, this is a good place to grind. However, the loots here are quite scant. So it's not the place for you if you want to farm items and level at the same time.

Level 30-40

SOLO

ALL TYPES

Byalan 2
Once EXP starts to feel slow on the planktons, you can move deeper to Byalan level 2. The abundant supply of vadons, marinas, hydras, kukres and cornutuses will give you lots of EXP to come by. Don't forget to kill all those kukres you see as they might hold a treasure trove of loots. All enemies here are weak to WIND.

Elder Willows
These aggresive and redder versions of Willows can actually get you to level 50+ if you don't mind grinding for while. Plus they drop one of the most common of Midgard's practical jokes: the dead branch. They are weak to WATER.

Comodo East Cave

Thara frogs, megalodons and hydras are good food for the AGI & VIT type. You can actually level here even up to level 50+. Tharas and hydras are weak to WIND, while megalodons are weak to FIRE but weaker to HOLY. Just a reminder though, don't expect to pick up Hydra and Thara cards here as they have been removed as monster drops in Valkyrie server, only available at the Hypermart

INT
Payon Cave 3
Munaks and bon guns are both undead monsters. Acolyte classes can level here by heal bombing until level 70+ or so. There are various rares that you can get here too such as munak and bongun hats, ninja suits and loots.

Level 40-50

SOLO

AGI & VIT
Goblin
This is another mobbing place. If you can't quite handle kobold mobs yet, then goblin mobs might just do the thing for you. With the right equipment, you'll be either dodging or tanking 3-4 goblins with ease. I'd recommend a bloody (hydra card) weapon as goblins have varying elemental properties.

Level 50-60

SOLO

ALL TYPES

Hodes
Once you can kill them in one fire bolt, hodes map become a convenient levelling spot for mage types. They're not cast detect, and you can use your natural sight skill on them when they hide. Melee types will also do good here by bringing fire elementals. Archer classes are more effective with fire arrows and clamorous bows. Also, if you're on the path to JOB 50, this is the best spot to start
VIT
Poison Spores
So you love mobbing? Well then, you're gonna enjoy levelling at the poison spores. Simply put, they are one of the best mobbing areas at this level bracket. Melees can use Magnum Break here for better mob killing. Swordie classes don't have a problem as it is a natural skill. Other melee classes can equip a blast clip (marine sphere card) to use Magnum Break. Merchant classes who have Cart Revolution will also work well here.

INT
Sandman
Confident with your mage firewalling skills? Then try it out at the sandman map. I've seen mid levelled mages mobbing 2-3 sandmen simultaneously while blocking them with layers of firewalls. Finishing them one by one with firebolt. A good levelling style, though you must remain alert as you can't teleport to safety once your firewall has been breached by mobs.

WITH FRIENDS

Stings
Even more confident with your mage firewalling skills? Or you like sniping from a distance as an archer? Then bring a priest friend with you at stings map in Glast Hein Sewers. In normal servers, skillful players

Level 60-70

SOLO

AGI & VIT
Sandman
This is one of the best maps for getting job level 50 as a 1st job. Sandmen come in mobs and by the time you reach this level as a melee fighter, you can either decently dodge them or tank them with ease. Bring your fire elementals here.

Kobolds
Kobolds are a good levelling place for the generic AGI type melee. A boned weapon (skel worker card) is much better than elemental ones when dealing with kobolds as they come in different types with their own elemental properties each. Remember, there are two kobold maps, and the more common one is PK enabled.

Zenorcs
If you can't stand the endless aggressive mobs, then Zenorcs in Orc Dungeon 2 will be a welcome respite. They are non-aggressive, have low DEF and they come in big numbers. Just don't accidentally drop any of your items as they will loot it faster than you can Bowling Bash!

Getting Job 50
Leaf Cat
These cats give very little base EXP but has a whopping amount of job EXP. So if you're in a rush to get to job 50 or you're a transcendent class who wants to get skills fast, then leaf cats are the thing for you. These felines are weak to FIRE.

Level 70-80 - By this level you should already be a 2nd job at least and more skills will be available at your disposal.

SOLO

AGI
Byalan 4
This part of Byalan is a treasure trove of loots, rares and decent EXP. If you don't mind the slower EXP nearing level 80 then this might be the place for you. Pick up all the loots and cards you see without paying too much attention at your EXP bar, eventually you will have levelled up more and become richer in the process.

Minorous
This is more for the hardcore grinder. I have known a lot of my friends back in Chaos server that turned 99 (manually of course!) in minorous maps. There are two minorous maps, the one in Sphinx level 5 is PK enabled while the one at Pyramids basement 1 is a normal map. Choose your grinding spot.

Fur Seal
This is an alternative map to minorous just in case you want a change of enviroment. There's not much difference with the EXP rate. And yeah, you don't get rich too just like in minorous maps. Fur seals is purely for the hard core levelling type.

VIT
High Orcs
Now this is high level mobbing! If you have a good stock of HP restoratives and you are a knight class with brandish spear or bowling bash, you can actually go solo here. A good weapon would be your quad bloody pike endowed with Water Elemental Converters. You can turn level 99 here going solo.

INT

Orc Dungeon 2
Wizards have been known to wander alone here casting Storm Gust here, there and everywhere. This is by far a common levelling style for wizards who are not fond of partying. Get the skills that you need here as soon as possible so that you can prepare for higher levelled monsters such as alarms and turtle dungeon 1. Just don't forget that heal clip.

WITH FRIENDS

DEX & INT
High Orcs
Support, mage and archer classes can settle with a two member party at high orcs probably even until 99 if they wish. This is one of the more popular places for dual partying. Wizards only need to cast Storm Gust all the time and the occasional bolts, while archer classes can just spam double strafe all they want with the right arrows and weapons of course.

Level 80-90 - From this level onwards, there becomes fewer choices for solo levelling with decent EXP especially for INT types. Levelling with friends becomes a more attractive option. AGI types always have it easy which is why they are branded as kings of Player vs. Monster (PvM).

AGI, DEX & INT

Alarms
One word: CLIP! And good EXP too! AGI type melees, especially thief classes will enjoy dodging alarms. Wizards have been known to venture alone killing alarms, doing the ever famous Frost Diver - Jupitel Thunder combination. Alarms give high caliber loots to sell to the NPCs. If you love the solo levelling style until 99 then this is a good place for you.

Turtle Island 2
Just like turtle island one in terms of pacing, but level 2 is designed for AGI classes with higher flee than usual or the classes with DEF ignoring/modifying skills such as the Monk's Infiltration. Thief classes with 80+ AGI will breeze through here with their enhanced flee, while swordie classes with 90+ agi and Provoke skill will slash through the turtle's thick shells in no time.

Level 90-99

SOLO

AGI & DEX
Turtle Island 1
Home of the spring rabbits and dragon tails. This map is almost complete as it gives great EXP rate for solo players and high caliber loots, sadly it doesn't dish out much rare items. But if you're really more concerned about levelling up fast, then this is a good place for you. Archer classes will have fun here too as the monster here have low DEF, therefore arrow skills will really do massive damage. Clowns and Gypsies even have it better with Arrow Vulcan, they can kill critters here in one shot with boned instruments/whips and the proper arrows. Spring Rabbits are weak to FIRE, dragon tails are weak to EARTH and pests are weak to HOLY.

WITH FRIENDS

Niffleheim - Valley of Gyol
Ideal for smaller parties. Niffleheim monsters give good EXP rates for level 90s and above. The only catch is almost all monsters are weak to HOLY element. So unless you're an archer class with lots of silver arrows, you'd really need a priest with Aspersio skill to amplify your damage output here. VIT and AGI type melees will do good here with proper support. INT types are also a welcome addition for added crippling and damage support.

Guild Dungeons
Guilds strong enough to defend a guild castle has the privilege of accessing town specific agit maps. All monsters in these dungeons are aggressive and you can't make much of a progress without bringing in your friends. Teamwork is the key here, wizards spamming area spells, tanks blocking the frontlines and support characters at the back of the action.

Biolabs
This is of course, the ends of all means. Biolabs by far gives the best EXP rate in all dungeons in Midgard. The key killer here would be a Biochemist with Acid Bomb skill as the monsters here have high VIT. Levelling here would be just like in main servers since teleport is also disabled in this map. You can level any character here 'till level 99 as long as you have a good party and good support. Good luck!
